Chromebook Policy & Insurance Fee

Dumont High School has moved to a 1:1 Technology Initiative for the last two years.  In order to receive the Chromebook, both the student and the parent (or guardian) are required to review the attached Chromebook Policy.  We are excited to allow payment of the Insurance Fee through Pay School Central.  This is the same site that is used to pay for student lunches. https://payschoolscentral.com/ (Please copy and paste this url into your browser and see the directions included on how to set up your account). The $20 Chromebook Insurance 2022-23 is listed under Technology.

If you are using PaySchools for the first time, you will need to register.  When asked for your student’s ID number, this student number can be found on your child’s PS public portal account, under Demographic Information.  Look for the Student Number.  Note:  You cannot use the mobile app for the Power School Public portal because Demographic information is not available on the app.

If you submit payment via PaySchools, you are agreeing to the terms of the Policy and do NOT need to return the signed hardcopy.

A second option is to pay the $20 fee by issuing a check payable to:  Dumont Board of Education.  If you pay via check, you must submit the signed policy along with the check.

PowerSchool registration and insurance fee must be complete prior to your child receiving their Chromebook.
